Change history and undo

Every change to a record is kept for 30 days, so you can see what changed, go back to an earlier version and bring back what was deleted.

Brigg keeps every change to companies, contacts, deals, products, tasks, meetings and the records in your own apps. For 30 days you can see what changed and undo it. You do this through the agent: ask it in the chat, in your own words.

What is kept

  • Every change, whether you, a colleague, the agent or an automation made it — who, when, and what was there before.
  • Deletions. A deleted record can be brought back with all its content.
  • Sharing. Making a record private or sharing it with the company is a change too, and can be undone.

Repeated changes to the same fields by the same person within a quarter of an hour count as one change. What comes in from a connected calendar or integration is not kept here, because it is fetched from the system it comes from.

Text documents have their own version history.

Seeing what changed

Ask the agent, for example «what changed on Lindvik Transport this week?». While it looks, the chat shows Reading the change log. The answer tells you who changed what, when, and what was there before.

Going back to an earlier version

Ask the agent, for example «put Anders Hauge back the way he was before Tuesday». While it works, the chat shows Restoring an entry. The record goes back to how it was before that change, and every change made since is undone too.

Nothing is lost: going back is itself a change, so it can be undone as well.

Bringing back a deleted record

If you deleted something by mistake, ask the agent to bring it back — «bring back the contact Tor Eide I deleted yesterday». While it works, the chat shows Restoring a deleted entry. The record comes back with all its content, for everyone who saw it before. See Editing a company or a contact for how to delete.

Undoing what an automation did

Everything one run of an automation changed can be undone in one go. See The run log and undoing a run.

After 30 days

A change can be undone for 30 days. After that the earlier version is gone for good, and the content of a record that has been deleted for more than 30 days is removed. The agent tells you when something is too old to bring back.

Who can do what

You can see the history of the records you can see, and restore the ones you can edit. A change made while a record was private to a colleague is visible only to that colleague, and only they can go back past it. Some records are managed by Brigg itself, such as events from a connected calendar, and cannot be restored this way.
